Eine Katze, die ebenfalls in das Grab gelangte, verrät durch ihr Kratzen das Verbrechen. "Der Fall Waldemar": Durch Trance wird der sterbende Waldemar in einen komatösen Zustand versetzt. Als der hinterhältige Hypnotiseur vor Schreck stirbt, zerfällt Waldemars Leiche zu Staub.
