The Exorcist

In der Horrorserie „The Exorcist“ ist eine „moderne Neuerfindung“ von William Blattys legendärem Horrorstoff aus den 1970er-Jahren. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die beiden grundverschiedenen Priester Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) und Marcus Lang (Ben Daniels). Sie untersuchen den Fall einer Familie, die von Dämonen heimgesucht wird. Deren Oberhaupt Alena Rance (Geena Davis) wird von düsteren Albträumen geplagt, die übernatürliche Zusammenhänge implizieren könnten. Father Marcus Keane is a modern-day Templar Knight, an orphan raised since childhood by the Vatican to wage war against its enemies. Father Marcus is everything Father Tomas is not: relentless, abrasive and utterly consumed by his mission - and he constantly butts heads with his adversary within the church, Father Bennett.
