Mit seiner Haushälterin Käti (Karin Hardt) zieht er in sein Geburtshaus, in dem schon sein Sohn Udo (Sascha Hehn) wohnt, ebenfalls Arzt in der Schwarzwaldklinik. Beide interessieren sich für Schwester Christa (Gaby Dohm), die sich jedoch später für den Chefarzt entscheidet und ihn heiratet. Die Ärzte der Schwarzwaldklinik kümmern sich um zahlreiche Patienten und ihre kleinen und großen Krankheiten.
